On the morning of June 15, 2025, Vietnam Airlines officially held the groundbreaking ceremony for two key service projects at Long Thanh International Airport – a new symbol of the national aviation vision.

With the presence of representatives from central and local authorities, as well as the leadership of Vietnam Airlines, the ceremony marked an important strategic step in the airline’s roadmap to "localize international standards" and proactively seize opportunities at a new regional aviation hub.

Specifically, the two projects commenced include:

  • The in-flight catering facility project, invested by Vietnam Air Caterers Company Limited (VACS) – a decisive move to enhance passenger experience through standardized, safe in-flight meals while optimizing domestic supply chains.

  • The aircraft maintenance facility (Hangar No. 1), invested by Vietnam Airlines Engineering Company Limited (VAECO) – aiming to establish a modern aircraft maintenance center that meets ICAO standards and enables greater self-reliance in aircraft maintenance services in southern Vietnam.

The Investment Project Center and the Structural Center 2 of VCC proudly served as the consulting units responsible for project formulation of these two strategic facilities. During project preparation, VCC’s teams demonstrated their expertise and capacity in planning, analysis, and proposing optimal technical, financial, and layout solutions, ensuring both high-quality outcomes and fast-track implementation.

In the context of increasing demands for aviation safety standards, sustainable development, and integrated technology, the role of consulting units goes beyond drafting technical documents – they act as architects of a modern, adaptive, and future-ready aviation service ecosystem.
